The Adventurers

4th & 5th Grade

This class is appropriately named. Each week brings new adventures as we go near and far to engage in hands-on, place-based learning. Our classroom is outside on our own beautiful campus or out and about in a local park or on a beach. Projects are driven by student interest and by local resources and needs. The Adventurers are school helper-leaders that serve the Swan community in many ways, from building a bridge for the preschool to performing a skit about problem solving to sweeping the walkways. No matter what, all that we do fits the school’s core values of academic challenge, leadership, enjoyment, community, and compassion.
